week one of baby fun...

So I can't believe Emma is a week old already. this week has really flown by. I'm bummed Justin has to go back to work this week, but also excited Erica is out of school and will be home.
some of the highlights from this week...

1. Emma likes to poop and pee as soon as we take her diaper off. We had a little poop fountain Friday night and I laughed so hard...


2. Emma has to spend some time by a sunny window for a bit each day to help get rid of jaundice. She loves it, she is in her diaper, spread out in the sun like she is on the beach...its adorable.


3. She is a party animal, staying up all night and sleeping all day. Her awake time is from 10pm to about 3am. I'm looking through tv guide online to find movies to record so I have something to watch, its so funny she just sits in her boppy next to me or in my arms, and listens to me ramble on, and on...


4. Erica is a so adorable with her lil sis, she doesn't freak out when she cries and stays calm and talks to Emma so sweet. its so adorable to watch.


5. Emma went to her first get together today. A birthday party. (Happy Birthday Nicholas)she slept through just about the whole thing, but we had a good time.


6. She doesn't like baths yet, she screamed pretty much the whole time.


7. I'm not sure if her eyes will be blue or not, they look kinda dark...


8. I love watching Justin baby talking to Emma, its the cutest thing in the entire world.


9. We had lots of visitors this past week and I love it, its rare we have people at our house, unless its a poker party:0)


10. I'm looking forward to Erica's softball games this week, and showing off our girl. we also have a graduation party this weekend so off we go!


11. I am able to get into the truck without using a milk crate to step up into it! and I also got into my favorite comfy jeans today...not my skinny good jeans yet but hey baby steps right?!?!

I am having a ball being a new mom again. there is just nothing like holding your baby in your arms, and making her smile her gummy little smile. I'm just loving it.

I still can't believe all the things that have changed since Erica was born, but hey, that's a whole 'nother blog!
