The last 2 weeks have just flown by! Lots of things going on in our house. Monday Justin went back to work, I got up to feed Emma and 1/2 hour later Justin is back home...he sits down and tells me he got laid off work. His job has been slow for while now, and he isn't really surprised, the work is just not there. Its definitely scary to not have 2 incomes coming in. But I think we'll be OK for a while. we'll have to cut back on the extras like everyone else in the state. I'm excited to get to spend the entire summer together as a family. The most time we have ever had is a week together at a time, and to be home with both our girls I think is a blessing. He is going to be able to bond with both of them all summer, especially Emma, and not missing all the fun things she does in her first months.
Emma had her 2 week appointment yesterday and now weighs 7lbs 10oz. She is doing well, eating good and has earned the nickname Squirt...for the sounds that come out of her lil butt! she is smiling more, and is awake more and had 2 nights in a row where she slept from 11-6am one night getting up for feedings only and the other she slept a full 7 hours. We spent Tuesday at the Bray house, letting Erica swim and play with Nicholas for a while. Emma went to both of Erica's softball games this week, but we went to the truck after 2 innings yesterday since it got a little too cold. We also went and saw Grandma at Leo's for dinner one night, so she had her first restaurant experience. She did well, and slept through most of it.
I can't help but feel like the worlds luckiest Mom! I just look at her in amazement, and am so thankful to have this little bundle of joy in our life!
the shoes are too big but they look SO cute!!

She's a sweetie for sure...and it's so fun taking her all around I'm sure! That age is nice...Sam is 2 now and he's into everything and yells SHUT UP sometimes when we go out to eat...so It's not much fun! LOL. I don't know what to do about it. He's a nice little boy most the time, but he's heard us yell SHUT UP to the dogs one too many times!
I remember loving to dress Marissa up and bring her around...she was such a sweetie then too...now she's a big mouth brat! Ugh, enjoy her now...oh Lord, why must they grow up so fast?
Justin being home will be a great help! I remember Joe was laid off for about a year when Ben was born and after not being a new mom for 10 years, I appreciated the help so much! The money works itself out Rhonda, hell there's never enough...this is life. Joe is laid off right now too, just like Justin there has been no work there for awhile, TG for unemployment! Love the baby stories:)
