Ooops baby??? not exactly...

So I don't understand some people. In the mall today I was meeting with one of my managers and a mall employee I barely know comes up and asks..."hows your ooops baby doing?" I kinda shrug and say she's great! ...and she goes on her way. It's not the first time someone has said that about Emma, and it really bugs me. Its kind of a pain to tell people I barely know, well...after trying to have a baby for so many years and nothing happens, we gave up and figured our baby making skills didn't work anymore, and then out of the blue... 12 years later...we have our Emma. People just assume we are irresponsible adults who forgot to use protection one night and along comes a baby. Nope...we haven't used birth control since we've been married. Sorry if that is too much info...but its been bugging me all day! I would have loved to have just screamed at this stupid lady today and say...well ACTUALLY, dumb ass, we've wanted a baby for a long time, and I'm thankful we finally have her! No Ooops baby here people! Mind your own business!

You should have punched her and said "Oops....Baby!"

I'm surprised at myself...I usually am pretty quick with coming up with something to say. I was just speechless when she said that to me.

Ugh, I've had sort of a similar experience with my family. I've been engaged for two years, we're just in no rush to get married, because we already feel married. We refer to each other as husband and wife already. I got pregnant a few months ago and was surprised and a little hurt that I had to explain to everyone in my family over multiple emails that it was PLANNED, not an accident. Some people weren't even happy for me at first, I couldn't believe it. As if for some reason having a marriage certificate would somehow make everything that much better. Lame!

Congratulations on your wanted baby, both of them. Your daughters are very very cute.
