Wow time is just flying by. I haven't done an Emma update in a while now. I cannot believe she is 4 months old now. She is such a Daddy's girl already. When Justin is in the room, she just stares at him like he is the center of the universe. It is the cutest thing. She has some separation issues, since Justin is home all day, so we have been taking her to Grandma's for a couple days a week so she gets used to being away from us. especially since we have a couple weddings coming up in the next 3 weeks. I don't want her giving Grandma any trouble!
We have also been pretty busy with Erica since school has started. She has Basketball everyday during the week and also is playing Hockey on Saturday's. Hockey has been interesting. I was nervous for her to play since she plays on the house 12 team, and her first game was last Saturday. When both teams came out to skate and shoot around before the game, I noticed how much bigger and faster everyone was. Also Erica was the only girl out there. I thought she was gonna get creamed! We didn't let her play the Winter season last year, since she struggled a bit with her grades, and I felt she was behind all the kids that usually play 2 or 3, and sometime 4 seasons a year. the first period she was a little slow, but was in on all the plays and actually knocked down one of the biggest kids out there, going after the puck. The second period, about half way through, Erica got a goal, and it was so exciting! She looked up at me in the stands and smiled the biggest smile every and jumped and danced around the rink like crazy! From then on she was whipping around that rink so fast, I swear, the goal gave her the rush of adrenaline to go after the puck big time! It was great. I'm so proud of her. Especially hanging in there with all those boys. Basketball so far has been interesting also. The girls look like they are playing rugby, slapping at the ball and fouls like crazy! Its been fun to watch, lots of stoppage in play for double dribbling and traveling and fouls, and every offense possible. I'm sure they will all be better at the end of the season.
We don't go see the Doc for Emma's check up til next week, so I'm not of her stats yet, but she weighed almost 13 pounds 2 weeks ago. Her cheeks are getting a bit chunkier...and I could just squeeze and kiss them all day!
