So we traded our Dodge truck in for a Chevy this week. When we were first looking for new trucks, our payment was going to double since the big three are no longer leasing out trucks. We were pretty discouraged and looked into buying a motor home so we could get a car, and also looked at used trucks and SUV's to keep our payment around the same amount. Monday we went to look at a couple used trucks, test drove a couple Fords, and then Justin saw a Chevy Sierra on the lot with low miles and in our price range. He drove it and loved it, saying it drove like a Cadillac and had a lot of room inside. We told the guy we were checking out a couple more options that day, but planned on coming back. On the way home we stopped at our local Chevy dealer and looked at new ones. I called a sales guy, and we ended up going in the next day, getting something new $25 more then we were quoted for a used one. The sales guy was great, the only difference is we don't have 4 wheel drive. It was between getting the crew cab and having more room for the girls or getting a 4X4 and having the smaller suicide doors and bench-like seats. I had to make Justin a deal that when he gets stuck in the drive way in the middle of winter I have to shovel him out...that's fine, I want my girls to be comfy...Erica isn't a little kid anymore.
We have never had a new Chevy, we have been Dodge and Ford people. My first car was a Chevette and I only had it for 3 months...it had no muffler, no floor in the inside (sheet metal) and it was so bad, I donated it to my Moms friends hubby, who was a volunteer firefighter at the time, so they could practice the jaws of life on it. The other Chevy I owned I had a very short time also, it was the year before Justin and I got married and we had just moved into an apartment. It was a Spectrum, with no muffler, I got that fixed and the brakes went out, I had many other issues with that car...so 2 weeks later when it died on the side of 696 I walked away and left it there! I remember giving the keys to Justin's Uncle Mike and saying do whatever you want with this thing! So hopefully we have better luck with this truck, so far so good, I really like the room, the way it looks, the Auto start, and there is also a button that brings the side mirrors in so they don't get knocked off...which is damn cool:O)

Chevy...you traders you! LOL....j/k It's American that's all that matters. Although we always buy Ford(since Dad retired from there.) Or when Joe's dad was here Chrysler(since he retired from there.) Had to get the discount. But yes, whatever works!
