Holy Toledo!!!

So I am going to tell you the reason I quit my weight loss journey...I am now down 15 pounds, but its not because I am eating so good and exercises like Jane Fonda...its because I am Pregnant! I found out Thursday at the Dr, and I'm not just a little prego, I'm ALOT! Like 14 weeks alot! I'm a bit shocked with that, but so excited! I had to have a ultra sound already so we could get a due date, and seeing that little person in there and hearing the heartbeat is just something so magical. The baby has hands and feet and is moving around already...its just so amazing. My due date is June 11, and we have an appointment to see what it is in a month. There is no way I'm waiting until he/she is born.
Ten years ago this month I had a miscarriage. I was 7-9 weeks pregnant at the time and I took the test, went to the Dr the next day to confirm and the very next day started bleeding. I lost it within a week of finding out. This is part of the reason I don't enjoy Christmas, it always reminds me of the baby I should have. I think that is why I was in such denial and didn't want to take the test. I was terrified.
The weight loss was why I finally knew I was prego, I have such a hard time losing weight and it seemed like it was falling off. That I haven't been eating normal stuff, I would make my normal dinners and have a few bites, couldn't eat it and have cereal for dinner.
We are so excited. I am scared at the same time, but the Dr said the scary stage is over, and it should all be good from here. So cross your fingers for us.
Erica is ecstatic! She didn't believe us at first, and we had to explain the ultra sound picture to convince her, but she was in shock. Her job was to tell her Grandma's and Grandpa's and was the cuties thing to see. She handed them the picture and said, "I'm finally going to be a big sister!" Both were pretty shocked since Erica will be 12 this next July, we have a bit of an age gap there!
So time to clean out the spare bedroom, and get it ready for our new addition. I can't wait to see what we are having, and going shopping and buying little baby clothes...and cleaning poopy diapers, and throw up and not sleeping! Life could not be better!
So vote on the side and tell me what you think we'll have in a month...Erica and Dad are pulling for a boy, but I could care less...give me a healthy baby and I'm a happy camper!

Nothing more special that a little bundle of Nagle!( I hope I spelled that right) Can't wait for your shower, which you are having BTW! YAY YAY YAY!

Am I just happy as hell for you! Congratulations. This is wonderful news. Wow! Seems like the Christmas spirit is going to find its way back in your life. What a fantastic gift Santa brought to all of you a little early this year. And yes, I can't wait for the shower either.

I almost peed my pants when I heard. I am so happy for you guys. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you all! I guess when you were holding Lukas, you already knew...so I can't say that gave you the itch!

I'd rather be camping... said...

Thanks girls! we are so happy and excited:)
not sure about a shower though, between Brandi's stuff and things from my cousin, I think I should be set...I would feel bad about having a shower.

Rhonda - I know you'd try to pull that. Its a celebration of your baby, its not about you getting gifts!

Don't deny me the chance of at least going to one Hughes girl shower. It may be the only time I ever get to see your mom, Brandy and Jenny again! Plus, it will be fun.

So, your doing it, and Ange and I are coming. Pick a date.
