Feeling Artsy Fartsy...

So I got bored tonight and took some pictures of some of the paintings I have hanging around the house...

This one above is my first oil painting. I painted it in high school, it was in an art fair and I got an award for it. I didn't take Art class until my senior year, and the Art teacher was pretty mad about that. I ended up taking 4 Art classes that year, and also won the Art student of the year award. So all the 4 year kids were pretty pissed at me, but I just couldn't get enough:)

I did this one for my front room...

and this one for my hallway...I call this my Monet...lol looks ok from far away but its all messed up when you get close. I'll white wash it and re do it someday when I get bored.

I love doing scenery paintings, I love old Barns...lighthouses, lakes, trees and flowers. I can usually paint just about anything I have in front of me to look at. I tend to run out of new ideas pretty quick. I have a folder of pictures that I want to put on canvas someday, and plan on having my own area to spread out all my paint supplies if I ever get to move into a bigger house!
