So last night I subbed again for a softball team. This team gets stomped on every game I've been to, but they have so much FUN playing! They are all goofy and are out there to play a game and have fun, how its supposed to be! I only hit 3 times in 2 games, we were mercied pretty quick the first game, but the second game we played 5 innings. It was the last inning and I was 2/2 already and hitting pretty good. The left fielder was playing right on the edge of the grass so I was swinging for the fences, trying to get it over his head. I swung at the first pitch and sent it foul, and then foul tipped the next one...then of coarse the umpire says..."that guy in left is playing kind of shallow on you, you can burn him..." so I swing with all my might and it pops up above our dugout and hits the humongous lights way the heck up there...Shatters one of the lights and the glass from it falls all over my teammates! everyone there was cracking up so bad, the umpire was shocked, the other team was cheering and laughing and saying that should count as a homer...and then of coarse a bunch of guys on the patio bar a block down were hooting and hollering and cracking up! I was out of coarse, struck out with foul balls, and the game ended pretty soon after that. but it was so funny! I should have gotten a big chunk of glass for a souvenir! Fun night!
