The Bachelor!

So I've been hooked on the Bachelor this time around. I love the whole single Dad scenario, and think the guy is adorable. Some of the ladies on there are so damn fake, or cause trouble, or have so much drama! This weeks episode was interesting.

This week, the girls had to come up with a song to sing to Jason, and the winner got a one on one date with him. Annoying whining Shannon did a weird rap, (because Jason did one when he was on the bachelorette...can you say stalker? pitiful) Stephanie sang some weird opera type, Jillian did a funny spunky song, Lauren had a really good song but it was almost too good. Molly came off the winner with a silly funny song involving Jason. Nikki had some OCD issues with trying to get a song together in 30 minutes. Anyways, Molly won the date, they camped out all night and she came home in Jason's clothes.

The group date was Melissa, Megan, Jillian, Lauren, Naomi, and Shannon. They got to play Dr and do scenes on set with General Hospital. all girls had kissing scenes with Jason and the jealousy really started. At the after party, almost all the girls were a mess, knowing they all have feelings for him and he has connecions with all the other girls. Lauren shocked me by telling Jason he better give her the rose or she's going to be pissed. Really??? big shocker he gave it to Naomi.

The next date was a 3 fer...Nikki, Stephanie and Jason, one of the girls was going home tonight. Stephanie and Jason have a nice bond, since both are parents. Nikki is an exotic beauty and has caught Jason's eye from the beginning. In the end, I think Nikki was too black and white, and OCD-ish, and didn't open up to Jason until the very end, so he sent her packing.

At the Rose ceremony, Lauren again brings Jason aside and tells him she is going to slap him for not giving her the rose from the group date. When it came down to the final rose. Jason picked it up and put it back down and said he couldn't give it out. He sent Megan, Lauren, and Shannon packing. THANK GOD! those three were so annoying!! Shannon was a clingy whiner, Megan a trouble maker from the beginning, and Lauren was just rude and obnoxious. I think he made the right decisions. I can see him with any of the remaining 5 girls. I think Melissa, Naomi and Stephanie are my final 3, can't decide who will win it though. Its going to be interesting to watch!

20 weeks!

I am now 20 weeks Pregnant! I can't believe I am halfway there already. Time is a flying! Erica and I organized the basement, but we still have to clean out the spare room. We are supposed to get that done sometime this week. I have another ultrasound on Monday, since they couldn't check everything off the list yet...Justin said to make sure they find the penis this time! yes right buddy, its a girl. I can't wait to paint. I have some crafty plans for the colors and the border. I'm so excited, to get things set and in there.

I've been able to eat a little bit more, but not so healthy. Boxed Pizza, spaghetti o's, fish sticks, tater tots, soup...these are my dinners. I can no longer cook. It just don't taste good. Whats funny is this is the stuff Justin and I ate when we first moved out of our parents house...14 years ago! before I learned how to cook, and had a couple recipes up my sleeve.

Emma Lynn is the name right now. Its been sticking the last couple days and all of us are calling her Emma. I like Erica and Emma together. I don't know any Emma's, personally anyways, and of coarse most important it sounds good in a sporty way...that A at the ends carries in the air like Erica's does! So the name may change down the road, but right now, that's out girl!

She is really kicking now also, Justin and Erica can easily feel it, though they have to sit next to me, and keep their hand on my belly or a while. Its our nightly fun...
this is what Ivillage says about our baby at 20 weeks. I love these things!

"Hooray! You're halfway there! And in case you don't believe 20 weeks is a milestone worth celebrating. Congrats! This is also the week your bambino is able to flash you on the sonogram, revealing what exactly he or she is packing. From this point forward, your baby will put most of her energy into gaining weight and, not coincidentally, so will you! Right now your baby weighs approximately 10½ ounces and is about 6½ inches long, about the size of a can of Red Bull (which has way too much caffeine for a pregnant woman to be drinking). I wiggle around alot now and can wake Mommy up at night... only 140 days to go!"

Mall Madness

So once a year at a couple of the Malls we have stores in, they organize something called Mall Madness. The Girls Scouts in the surrounding areas sign up and camp out at the mall. Certain girly stores, food stores, and just general young people stores stay open most of the night, often till 4 or 5am, and The girls can shop, watch movies, DJ's and Karaoke is set up, and different fun stations throughout the mall. Well last night I worked part of the night at one of my stores. We do crazy business, but it takes a certain person to be able to handle it. These are some of the reasons why a grouchy Pregnant lady, such as myself, should NOT have worked last nights event.

Mind you...we had a line of at least 20 people for 3 hours straight...-The Girls who come up talking on their cell phones (to who at 1am?) and don't know what they want to eat.
-The group of girls who don't pay attention to who is next, talk over one another, order as a group and then want everything rang in separate
-The Moms who ask us for Coffee (that we Don't sell) and then are mad that they just stood in a line and they don't want anything
-The 11 year old who screamed MOTHER F'er because she dropped her money on the floor. (she didn't swear and say the F word, but it was SO LOUD)
-The 10 years olds wearing makeup
-The girls who order $4.40 worth of food and give you $4. then look at us weird when we say, ummmm we need another dollar or .40
-The Screamers!
-The ones who don't talk, just point to what they want.
-The girls who have a coupon, orders something that the coupon don't cover, then are upset that we don't take the coupon...would you like to change your order? its OK!

A person can only repeat themselves so many times!! Also explaining the entire menu to every other kid, wow what was I thinking.!?? plus the fact that I am still up tonight, at 1:36, since I couldn't get to sleep last night. I will probably be messed up all week.

As someone **cough cough** who got kicked out of Brownies in the 4th grade...I'm thinking I should avoid these events at all costs. What do you think?

Friday Fun

So today it was so frigid... most schools were closed. It was -9 this morning when we got up and -22 with wind chill. We got up, checked the news, and then I went back to bed:) Justin went to work, Erica slept in a bit. I did not want to leave my comfy warm cave of a bed! But I did, and Erica came to work with me today, which I LOVE!! Since we have such good conversations when we drive around. I could talk to her about anything for hours and never get bored. I love my girl!!
This week has been fun, we all had the stomach flu last weekend. What makes it so much fun and interesting is having 3 people puking and crapping at the same time with one teeny tiny bathroom...it was definitely a challenge. We were all out of it for 3 full days. We puked and crapped all day Sunday, drank water/Gatorade/ate toast and slept mostly Monday, and gained most of our strength back on Tuesday. The Flu sucks big time...haven't had it in a while, and hope I don't get it again. what really sucks is I got a Flu shot. I blame it on Justin...he brought it home from work.
We are still working on Girls names. This girl sure is a kicker, its so cool to be working and feel a kick during the day, or sitting around after dinner and feeling a kick. I forgot how all this feels like, and its so exciting. The names Jenna and Emma are the top runners right now. Those are the ones that are sticking for all three of us. We'll see if they stick for the next 5 months:0)
Tonight Erica and I cleaned and organized our basement so we can clean out bedroom #3 for the baby. I have a ton of junk in Bedroom #3, work things, an extra bed, and extra kitchen table, and misc sports things that just build up out of no where. right now I have 3 piles of things for Justin to go through, throw out and donate. he's going to be happy when he gets home from his fantasy football end of the season party. HAAAAA!
Our new dog Molly is getting along pretty good with the rest of the brood. She chases the cats around here and there, but they sneak up and smack her on the head whenever they get the chance! Its so funny. She still hides under the table when people are over, and barks at the wind, but I really like her, and think she fits in good with the fam.
TV this week has been a trip. American Idol started which is always fun to watch. I'd like to hit the bimbo in the bikini upside the head, but other then that its funny as always. I just get pissed when the bimbos get through cuz their cute...I wish they were ALL judged on talent alone. Grissom left CSI and Laurence Fishborne is now on the team, such a change of dynamic of the show. Greys, and Er and Private Practice were all tear jerkers (oh wait I'm just hormonal!!)

That has been my crazy week, I hope the weekend goes well, and I sure hope it warms up around here soon!

Breaking news....

The results are in and we are having a GIRL!! I am so excited and surprised at the same time! When that little profile came up on the screen, I really thought she was going to tell me its a boy. Plus the fact that I had to take a "brisk walk" down the hall and also empty the bladder because she couldn't see what she needed to, I thought, ok He's being a pain in the butt like a boy would! but nope, she said we are having a girl...I think Justin is still a little shocked. He actually now is saying he believes the ultrasound lady did something wrong, and didn't know what she was doing and is wrong... He's a riot, and got a little overconfident we were having a boy! I'm excited and already looking at purple and pink nursery stuff:)

So the name's we are still thinking over...so I'm putting the poll back up with the finalist...(same ones from last time basically) so we'll need your input, AGAIN...so please VOTE...AGAIN, let us know what ya think!! also any other ideas, COMMENT ME...I'm running out of Ideas and the three of us can't decide which one we like best.
***also, the name has to sound good from the stands when we yell out her name when she is playing sports,(she won't really have a choice in that area:) ***

Hello Molly!!!!!

Soooo back in September when we were camping for Hallo-weekend thingy, I saw 2 labradoodle dogs that were SO adorable! I fell in love with the look, and temperament of them, and they feel like big old teddy bears! they are so soft. I was saying how I want a labradoodle and oh lets get a labradoodle and all that crazy stuff. I looked on Craiglist a bit, but really didn't want to get a fancy smancy designer type dog. We'v always had mutts, and there are so many puppies needing homes we were thinking about getting a mutt after the new year. (with my retail job, Christmas is crazy enough without dealing with a puppy too) Well... in mid December we found out we are pregnant! so the puppy idea went out the window. No way was I going to deal with a puppy and a baby at the same time. well then a couple weeks later, a guy at Justin's work said he has a 4 year old Golden doodle, that he doesn't have time for, he is out of town alot, she was kept at a boarding house alot, and don't have a fenced in yard she can run around in it. (why do these people get dogs?) anyways... he sent me pics of her, and we decided to meet up with him last weekend to see if our dog Copper would get along with her ok. (Copper can be a real bitch at times.) so we met, they got along ok, not perfectly but ok...then Molly came over and to our house for the weekend. Well we are on the 4th day now and everything is going pretty well. they had some food issues, and we have to separated them when we feed them, and they have been home alone a couple hours by themselves, today and yesterday. so far so good.
So we have a new dog! Her name is Molly and she is a damn riot, has so much personality, is so lovable, soft and gentle as a teddy bear! She is a lot of fun...so far!

my top 10 actors of all time...

So Justin and I finally went on a movie date last night, and went and saw Grand Torino with Clint Eastwood. It is a great movie, and something I really wanted to see since it was filmed in Michigan, Grosse Pointe area. Clint Eastwood is one of my favorite actors of all time, so I decided to make a list!

#10. Patrick Dempsey- We go WAAAAY back to Can't Buy me Love with this guy! 1987, this was one of the first films I owned on VCR tape! We watched this over and over and over and over again...some of the other movies I love him in was Lover Boy, With honors, Scream 3, Sweet Home Alabama, Lucky 7, Freedom writers, Brother Bear 2 (voice of Kenai) and of coarse on my weekly love...Greys!

#9. Adam Sandler- This guy can always make me laugh! I think I first saw him on SNL. I have seen so many of his movies, I don't think I could list them all. My Favorites are The Wedding singer, 50 First dates, Big Daddy, Reign over me, and Happy Gilmore. Reign over me was amazing, to see him in a different role then all the other movies he is in. he is talented and funny, and I can watch his movies more then once and still laugh.

#8. Chris Farley- again, I think I saw him on SNL first. It pisses me off that Chris Farley was stupid enough to basically kill himself with drugs. He was such a talent.
I would have loved to see what movies we would have seen with him later in his life. he was so full of energy for a big guy... Tommy Boy, and Black Sheep. I still can't believe he has been gone for 11 years.

#7. John Travolta- Grease was another movie the neighborhood girls I grew up with owned and we watched every time we had a slumber party. Some of my other favorites he is in are: Look who's talking, Pulp Fiction, Micheal, Phenomenon, Face off, and Wild Hogs. He freaked me out a bit with Hairspray, Danny Zukow and Drag just don't go together!

#6. Drew Barrymore- E.T. was the big first m movie of coarse. But I remember being excited when Scream came out that she was in it, and then disappointed that she was the first one killed. Since then she has kicked out some good movies, my favorites being, The Wedding Singer, Ever After, Never Been kissed, Riding in Cars with Boys, 50 First dates, and Fever pitch. I'm looking forward to her movie due out soon, He's just not that into you. I love her paired with Adam Sandler.

#5. Meg Ryan- Meg Ryan was on one of my Mom's soaps (As The World Turns-1982) I can't believe I was 7 at the time and remember this but I do. from there the first movie I remember seeing her in was Top Gun. her big line being "Goose, take me to bed or lose me forever!" I think she is Quirky, Beautiful, funny and talented. Some of my favorite movies of hers are, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You've got Mail, The Doors, When a man loves a women, and City of Angels.

#4. Will Smith- I was totally addicted and memorized his first single as the Fresh Prince with DJ Jazzy Jeff, parents don't understand. I've loved him from the beginning, onto to The Fresh Prince of Bel air, and then onto major movie star. He's going to be around for a while, his movies are just awesome, he is talented and charismatic and married to a cool chic! some of my favorite movies of his are: Hitch, Bad Boys, Pursuit of Happiness, Independence day, and Hancock. I can't wait to see his newest Seven Pounds

#3. John Cusack- I've never seen one of his movies that I haven't liked. I've had a crush on him since...geez as the geek in Sixteen candles, his small part in Stand by me as Denny Lachance. some of my fav's of him are...Say Anything, Grosse Point blank, Con Air, Serendipity, Runaway Jury, Must love Dogs, and Martian Child. He is different, talented and low key. love him:)

#2 Morgan Freeman- The First movie I saw him in was Driving Miss Daisy. he has such a quiet manner to him, but such a presence at the same time.
Unforgiven, The Shawshank Redemption, Se7en, Chain reaction, Kiss the girls, High Crimes, Million Dollar Baby, Gone Baby Gone and the Bucket list are my favorites. though I've seen so many that I just love him in.

#1 Clint Eastwood- I don't know why exactly but Clint Eastwood's movies are just my favorite. They mean something. There is always a great story. I think it started for me with Dirty Harry and Every which way but loose, he has a funny, sarcastic side, and says lines that wouldn't be funny if someone else said them. Unforgiven, line of fire, The Bridges of Madison County, Million Dollar Baby, and just loving Gran Torino He is such a hard ass and a softy at times. As a producer in most of his most recent movies, he just amazes me. Plus his age...damn his is 78 years old...and still making great movies. LOVE HIM!!

I can't forget my Pretty Boy actors I love to watch...Paul Walker, Mark Walhburg, Joaquin Phoenix, Ryan Gosling, and Taye Diggs:)

who are some of you favorites?

Erica is...

baby growth

Baby Emma is...

baby development
